The 2nd edition of the 2010 Flex manual specifies my Flex\"s battery as BXT-65-750.Accepted - no arguments.I purchased my Flex (Feb2012) much less than 2 years after the left the factory. I\"ve never ever replaced the battery.The battery in my Flex is tagged Motorcraft BXT-65-650. Yes, that\"s right, the battery sitting within the engine compartment is smaller than the one specified by Ford\"s manual. The small black battery \"blanket\" that surrounds the battery is pristine. The threaded rod \"risers\" and nuts the secure the battery strap room uniformly oxidized. Over there is no intuitive indication that the battery was replaced prior to my salvation of the vehicle. Who knows, The battery can have to be switched out on the lot as soon as it was brand-new if the manufacturing facility battery to be not up to snuff or ??Stock/motorcraft battery is a good old fashioned wet cell lead automobile battery and also not AGM.A 650 will certainly not pains your automobile but due t the reduced amount of CCA it might make the harder to begin in the frigid cold.

The manufacturing facility probably place in a cheaper battery to conserve money (and the isn\"t AGM).FYI, when you attach the battery charger, execute NOT attach the an adverse lead of the charger directly to the battery. Affix it to a human body ground point. Long story yet the short version is \"battery monitoring system sucks\".If you\"re connecting the battery to a charger on a continuous basis you have actually nothing at every to worry about. I can\"t remember specifically around the 2010 Flex, however often times the manufacturing facility will use various sizes batteries in the exact same model. The smaller one can be used on the greater volume / lower content models to reduce weight to assist the EPA fuel economic climate numbers and also reduce cost, when the larger ones are used on the models with much more options and the greater electrical loads. They most likely only introduce the bigger one in the hand-operated to protect against confusion since the EPA weight no longer matters.
